Outside India and China, most countries are currently either fully current on Unreserved EB-5 or face waits measured in months rather than years. Rural Reserved is current for all of them — and combined with priority adjudication, it remains the fastest route to a conditional GC.

• •Source of funds nuances: each country has its own FX control regime (Vietnam, Brazil, Argentina have specific restrictions on cross-border transfers). Plan documentation accordingly.
• •Why Rural still matters even when Unreserved is current: priority adjudication on Rural Reserved is materially faster than the standard Unreserved adjudication queue. "Current but slow" is not the same as "current and fast."
